Excellent long weekend!
This might be the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in. Even the hot tub was sparkling clean and I didn't find myself to have a lingering chlorine/chemical smell after using it. The house was plenty spacious & well appointed. Also great location close to any hiking destinations you'd want to check out. Very private. Would absolutely stay again!

Perfect accommodations for a getaway!
The house was clean and so cute. It was cozy, warm and safe. We enjoyed the hot tub and huge outdoor space along with indoor games provided. All hiking was so close to the home - just a quick drive to anywhere. Jodi was very attentive - she let us know about impending high winds in the area, what to do and that they have a generator. We felt safe and secure!

Would recommend putting some hooks up in the lower living area by the tv for coats and towels from the hot tub and maybe a few hooks up in the bathroom for towels. Everything else was amazing!

Perfect for our stay
We were very happy to see how clean everything was, including a signed certificate of extra cleaning measures. The size of the home was spacious with good quality furnishings including large tv's. The firepit in the back yard was perfect for our gathering of a few people - although we didn't use the other amenities including a hot tub and picnic table, it was great to have them there as an option. Owners were very accommodating and answer my questions before the stay, and included touching bas
Weekend with friends
The cottage was well kept and cleaned when we arrived. Had plenty of space, especially outside. Fire pit was very nice, hot tub was great a little small but worked well. The grill was a little bit of a challenge to work when we grilled out with a temperature control valves going the opposite way. Otherwise, got a little warm in the bedrooms at night. Could add a fan in there to help with that. Overall, great place and would stay there again.
More than expected.
My granddaughter and I came to the cottage as a get away after a family tragedy. We just needed to relax and refill our souls with Gods beauty. The cottage offered all we intended it to be. We had peace and quiet, nature, cleanliness, kindness and even took a few hikes at the local caves I had traveled as a child. We could have stayed forever. It was a very quiet yet meaningful time and we will be back. Its a close to home 3 1/2 hr drive but far enough away to feel safe and cared for. The cottag

We took a mini vacation at the walnut cottage and it was amazing. Definitely plenty of room for children to run and play. The cottage was super clean and met our every need. The owners were super accomadting as well! Thank you for such a great stay we will be back this year!!!
Couldnt be happier
We planned this quick getaway literally within 48 hours before arriving. My husband and kids were so excited upon arriving at your place. Such a convenient location to all of the hiking trails at Hocking Hills. The property that the house sits on is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. We are already talking about heading back in the fall and would love to stay here again. Also super clean and loved all of the decorations.
Best experience ever!
We loved it! We played volleyball, Badminton, smores on the open fire, the set up in the back of the house was perfect. The hot tub and bbq and the fire place were placed perfectly. We cooled down and sprayed the hose when it got hot. There was stores close by. Old mans cave was just a drive away. We really enjoyed it. We definitely said we have to come back! Thank you Jody for the experience and sharing your piece of heaven with us!
